Andrew Kightlinger was born and raised in Madagascar, later transplanting to South Dakota.
This multi-racial, omni-cultural background continues to feed a prolific instinct for telling stories that are at once artful yet relatable. His last feature, LOST ON A MOUNTAIN IN MAINE, was produced by Sylvester Stallone, released theatrically, and ranked Top 10 on the global Netflix charts. He also wrote and directed the indie feature TATER TOT & PATTON starring Jessica Rothe. He’s also a winner of the Slamdance Screenplay Grand Prize. Branded film collaborations include Fujifilm, Sony, and The Getty Center.
